American author and singer-songwriter in the folk rock genre, active from 1965 to 1972 with a second career since 2004. Born 25th November 1942 in Baltimore, Maryland. In 1966 he had his only big hit, Elusive Butterfly. As a songwriter, he was more successful, with over 200 artists covering his songs.
