New Zealand musician and record industry executive, who also managed The Johnnys and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds. He was bassist with Australian punk band The Thought Criminals amongst other groups, also managing the band and running their Doublethink label.

Co-owner of Green Records (7) in the 1980s, from 1992 to 1997 he was the Australian CEO of PolyGram Music Publishing. Grierson was managing director of Festival Mushroom Records from January 5 1998 to March 2005.

He is now retired in Melbourne.
