Christiane Ufholz is Christiane Wunder. Born 1.9.1947 in Leipzig and passed away 1.1.2023 in Berlin. She became famous as a rock, jazz and blues singer in the GDR, where she lived until 1976. She performed with musicians such as Manfred Krug, Klaus Lenz and Günther Fischer.
Her career began with Die Butlers in Leipzig. After the band founded by Klaus Renft was banned, Ufholz switched to Studio Team Leipzig and in 1972 she joined the Dresden Sextett, from which the group Lift emerged a year later.
