American jazz guitarist, sideman and songwriter, born November 3, 1932 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Best remembered for the composition “Evil Ways”, originally performed by
Willie Bobo but made famous by
Cal Tjader and
Santana.
Evil Ways is often miscredited to Jimmie Zack, a rockabilly singer who co-wrote and recorded a different song with the same name. In these instances, please use the unlinked Written By entry for Zack, and use Written-By [Uncredited] to credit Henry.
Do not confuse with the New Orleans R&B singer Clarence Frogman Henry.
