American jazz bassist, grown up in Memphis, Tennessee. In 1964 he moved to New York City to study classical bass and became involved in New York’s free jazz scene. In the 1970’s he was a regular member of Gunter Hampel’s Galaxie Dream Band. From 1976 until 1995 he has lived in Paris, France. In 1995 he moved to the Lebanon. Currently he is a member of the Lebanese National Symphony Orchestra.
