Alix Sharkey is a journalist, writer and editor. He began his writing career at i-D magazine, going on to write for The Guardian, The Observer, The Sunday Times and The Sunday Telegraph, as well as various UK and international magazines. Sharkey was news editor of MTV Europe.

He was in a band called Stimulin with Justin Langlands in 1981 who disbanded without a deal after a BBC John Peel Radio Session. Sharkey then went on to release the electronic dance single Tough Enough as Out with Simon Boswell
