Trumpeter and a founding member of Earth, Wind & Fire. He has also arranged and conducted sessions for others, such as Marvin Gaye, New Birth and Sylvester and played big-band jazz with Cab Calloway, Gerald Wilson and Louis Bellson orchestras. He started his solo career in 1980 with an album Our Music Is Your Music on his own Esoteric label and released many other albums too throughout the 80’s and 90’s.
