UK-born Canadian arranger, composer, pianist and bandleader. Emigrated to Canada as an infant where he started his career as a pianist and composer in the 1930s. Traveled to England in 1938 with
Trump Davidson’s orchestra, returning to Toronto in 1939. Arranger for
Paul Whiteman from 1941 to 1942. From the mid-1940s through the 1950s was an arranger and performer on CBC. Music director for Canadian Talent Library from 1962 to 1972.
