Composer, arranger and pianist, born February 27, 1940 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Hooper moved to Chicago in 1964, writing jingles and material for jazz groups, recording an album with a big band in 1974. Settled in Los Angeles in 1978, composing music for TV and continued to record as a leader.
