Dutch/British/Australian jazz bassist (b. Holland 1930 - 2003)

Led own semi-pro groups in the Netherlands 1945-1948. Member of Swedish All Stars group which toured Germany for 6 months in 1949. Member of Pia Beck Trio 1949-1951. With Gus Van Maanen Trio 1951. Led own Quintet on tour of US bases in Germany May-Dec. 1953. Went to London in 1954 and played with various British groups. Came to Australia in August 1956 and worked with Australian All Stars. Recorded with own group The Loganberries 1958. Went with Mike Nock in Three Out Trio to UK in 1961. Joined various British jazz groups 1961-1964. Had own band 1965.

Sometimes credited as Freddie Logan.
