Alalal (aka Al O’Connell) began his music career as a second hand vinyl collector and seller which turned into an obsession. His long-standing collaborations with Mark Ronson, Paul Epworth, and Erol Alkan has seen him credited on some of the most successful releases of the past decade. With his work on Bruno Mars’s “Unorthodox Jukebox”, Rufus Wainwright’s “Out of the Game”, and Duran Duran’s “All You Need is Now”, as well as production and remixes for Klaxons, Plan B and Metronomy, alalal is fast becoming one of the most exciting and fresh producers / engineers of his generation. alalal was recognized by the UK Music Producers Guild as the “Recording Engineer of the Year” for 2013.
