American producer, musician, educator and songwriter.
Born c.1920 Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Died October 22, 1982 in New York (60 years old).
He got into the music business in 1936. He was A&R head for [l62753], [l1005], and [l5320] in the 1950s, [l654] in the 1960s, and [l895] in the 1970s.
He produced jazz artists such as Stan Freeman, Betty Carter, Ray Bryant, Clifford Brown, Al Martino and many others.
He was instrumental in getting his friend Ray Ellis into music arranging. He also wrote under the pseudonym of Paul Sarah. BMI IPI #: 27635089.
