American music executive, who was the EVP of Music Affairs at Walt Disney Studios Motion Picture Production from 1996 until his retirement in 2022. Previous positions include Senior Vice President of Music Business Affairs and Administration at Sony Pictures Entertainment (1984–1996), Director of West Coast Business Affairs at RCA VideoDiscs (1983–1984) and Attorney at Capitol Records (1980–1983).
Holtzman was also a lecturer in the film music program at USC and has spoken at UCLA, The American University, Chapman University, Loyola School of Law and the Los Angeles County Bar Association. He received his J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center in 1979. He is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation (since 2017), a former President of the California Copyright Conference and has served on the Executive Committee of the Music and Entertainment Industry Division of the City of Hope for many years.
