The Jazz Mags originally began life as FSOL material, a four track session entitled The Jazz Mags being mentioned in 2008, alongside the title track's appearance on Electric Brain Storm 3. Percussive, jazzy, with hints of krautrock, and not entirely unlike The Cartel, the EP retains some of the darker, moody side of FSOL nevertheless.
