American funk bassist.
Born in San Francisco, CA, Bobby Vega began his professional career with Bo Diddley and in 1973 his mastery of a pick got him on record with Sly Stone's I Get High On You. He has since played with artists ranging from Joan Baez to Etta James. Bobby also filled in for legendary Tower of Power bassist Francis Rocco Prestia in 2001.
