Born in Oslo, June 29th, 1971, Ingar Zach is a prominent Norwegian percussionist. Since late 90s he has been dedicated to improvised and folk music, and often experiments with non-traditional methods of playing a drum kit.

In May 2000 he founded the label Sofa with guitarist Ivar Grydeland: an imprint dedicated to improvised and avantgarde music from Norway.
