Barcelona-based musician, producer and part-time singer Bastido shapes his distinct sound since the release of his debut beat tape travels:barcelona in 2018. Moving between influences from Buena Vista Social Club, warm and analog albums from The Roots and D'Angelo and jazz-based hip-hop of the 90s, Bastido's music primarily stands for a relaxed and stress-free sound. Recently less a solo artist than a collaboration project involving musicians and artists of different genres, Bastido's 2021 release Sera and the new 2022 release Alba exemplify an unconventional mix of alternative R&B, lofi hip-hop, jazz and Cuban music. Alba was released in August as a Streaming version and can be ordered on Vinyl including extended versions and a bonus track.
