British label owner and producer. Founder of Blues and Soul magazine which started in 1966. He started the labels Action in 1968, [l27439] in 1971 and Contempo in 1973. By 1978, Abbey had shut down Contempo Records, turned over the editorship of Blues and Soul magazine, and moved to Atlanta, Georgia, to found Ichiban Records.
