Classical percussionist (vibraphonist) and conductor, originally from New Jersey and based in Ireland. Not to be confused with Rich O'Donnell, a percussionist based in St. Louis.

Richard graduated from Indiana University and City University of New York. He is currently Principal Percussionist with the National Symphony Orchestra and in 1996 was appointed to the staff of the Royal Irish Academy of Music where he is also Director of the Percussion Ensemble.
