Producer and Recording Engineer active in the Chicago blues scene principally during the 1960’s and 1970’s. Norman Dayron won a Grammy Award for “Rare Blues” - Best Ethnic or Traditional Album - Producer. Norman also won the W.C. Handy Award for “Robert Nighthawk, Live on Maxwell Street” - Best Vintage Blues Album - Producer. The Nighthawk album was designated as one of the Best Live Blues Recordings of All Time by the All Music Guide.

Over 50 years Norman Dayron has produced more than 100 Albums of some of the greatest Blues Artists who ever lived. The list includes Howlin’ Wolf, Muddy Waters, Little Walter and Otis Spann as well as their younger counterparts Paul Butterfield, Mike Bloomfield, Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood and The Rolling Stones. Norman is an innovator in the field of music production who invented the first “Super Sessions “, “Fathers and Sons” and “The London’ Howlin’ Wolf Sessions “ which were successful both commercially and musically.

The Norman Dayron Music Archive contains 1090 Master Tapes of great Blues and Americana Roots Music much of which remains unreleased.
