Sextet led by trombonist Al Grey, a veteran of the Count Basie Orchestra. Also featured fellow Basie veteran Jimmy Forrest on saxophone. With the exception of Pete Minger, all members of the Al Grey Jazz All Stars also recorded together as The Al Grey-Jimmy Forrest Quintet.
