DJ & Producer from Romford. Prior to breaking into the music industry Ryder worked as a computer programmer before getting a job at Our Price. He began getting DJ bookings and competing successfully in the DMC Mixing championships alongside the likes of DJ Hype etc. After meeting Dave Lee in a record shop they began producing house tracks under the name raven maze, masters of the universe, shy boys.
Since then he has set up Strictly Underground Records (and numerous subsidiaries), as well as a major involvement the pirate radio stations Unity FM & Konflict FM.
Unlike so many people claiming to have been instrumental in dance musics beginnings Mark can be placed at the inception of various musical styles from Hardcore, drum and bass, jungle, UKGarage and so much more. Mark lives by his label name sake Strictly Underground but has had numerous top 40 hits under various names and associations such as NJoy, WildChild,MDEMM. More recently mark started using his actual name in the UKGarage scene. His catalogue of works is much bigger than people realise as he prefers to release music under different names so that they have to earn their success from scratch rather than hype. Mark can be noticed on many massive dance hits if you look deeper than the hype and a lot of his vast musical catalogue is on his iTunes artist page .
His brother is hardcore/DnB/Breaks producer Mike James.
