American country blues roots rock band, Buick 6 grew out of a group of musicians backing Lucinda Williams on the road and in the studio. Continuing to back Williams, they also record and perform on their own.

Tom Overby came up with the name for the band, inspired by From a Buick 6, the Bob Dylan song featured on his album Highway 61 Revisited.
