Dutch (executive) producer and A&R manager. Born 09-02-1944, Heemstede.
Worked for Bovema/EMI (1969–1975) and EMI/EAR (European Artist and Repertoire) (1976–1980). In 1975 he became responsible for the A&R of European productions and between 1980 and 1985 he was in charge of EMI Germany. He then worked until 1987 for the German Cosima Music of
Bernd Meinunger and
Hanne Haller. In 1987 he switched to KRO television. Here he was (co-) producer and manager until his retirement in 2004.
According to his own account, he discovered musicians such as
Brainbox, C.C.C. Inc., The Continental Uptight Band,
Kayak,
Lucifer, Highlight,
Jaap Dekker,
Robert Long, Ritty McGarretty and the Canadian band
Promises.
