German Jazz & Rock Fusion project, founded by ex-Passport bassist Wolfgang Schmid in 1987.
Schmid is bandleader of The Kick and released a couple of albums under this name during the next decades with different line-ups.
There were mainly two more reincarnations of Wolfgang Schmid's Kick:
From 2002, he released as Special Kick and from 2015 as The Next Kick. Parts of the musicians were former students of Wolgang Schmid.
