Bassist and composer from Norway

In addition to own group Zanussi Five he is a member of MZN3, Kuchen/Strid/Zanussi Trio, Zanussi/Markhus Project, Eberson/Zanussi/Lofthus Trio, Crimetime Orchestra and Sternklang.

He has composed music for theatre performances for Det Norske Teatret and Haugesund Teater and music for dance performances and short films as well as for most of his groups.

In the past, Zanussi has cooperated with musicians like Bugge Wesseltoft, Sten Sandell, Kjell Nordeson, Paal Nilssen-Love, Håvard Wiik, Thomas Strønen, Nils Olav Johansen et al. He was also a founding member of Norwegian band Wibutee.

Zanussi has a Masters degree in chamber music/improvisation from The Conservatory of Music in Trondheim and the Norwegian Academy of Music, Oslo.
