He worked with RCA Records from 1955 to 1993.
Among the artists he worked with were the conductors Fritz Reiner, Sir Thomas Beecham, Leopold Stokowski, Sir Georg Solti and James Levine; the instrumentalists Artur Rubinstein, Vladimir Horowitz, Van Cliburn, Jascha Heifetz and the Juilliard Quartet, and the vocalists Leontyne Price, Birgit Nilsson, Renata Tebaldi, Robert Merrill and Placido Domingo. He also worked on recordings by the Chicago Symphony, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic, the New York Philharmonic and the Philadelphia Orchestra.
