American rock guitarist and audio engineer.
Son of jaz pianist Jimmy Rowles.
Brother of jazz trumpet/fluegelhorn player/vocalist Stacy Rowles.
Raised in California, started playing piano at age 2, guitar at age 14. Rowles started playing guitar professionally at age 16. First entered recording studio at age 18, never looked back. Session/ touring musician for 20 years and producer for 15 before relocating to Oregon in early '80's. worked as independent, opened Wake Robin Recording & Sound in 1985 and incorporated as Audio Media Services in 1998.
