Swedish music journalist and author based in Staffanstorp, Skåne, born on February 9, 1941 in Arvika, Värmland.

Olsson has worked as a freelancing music journalist and lecturer, 25 years of them at Sveriges Radio and for some years as a teacher at [l1710318]. He, a.k.a. his alias Jolson, has also, for many years, written about jazz in the column 'Jolsons Jazz' in the Swedish paper Skånska Dagbladet.

As a compiler for LP and CD reissues of Swedish jazz, Olsson has been a helpful source, with his knowledge and advice, on some of them.
