This band led by bassist Hugh Hopper is the inheritor of the Hugh Hopper Band (also known as the FrangloDutch Band) which stopped its activities around 1995. After several projects (many short-lived, other more successful), Hugh Hopper teamed again with Patrice Meyer (ex Hugh Hopper Band) and formed a 100% French quartet, which was duly Christened the FrangloBand in 1999. This band was to prove a long-term partnership, lasting from 1999 to 2005, but actually only played 6 gigs in as many years, almost exclusively in and around Paris.
