Born December 9th, 1979 in Okinawa, Japan, Olivia is the oldest of three children (her sister
Caroline, and brother
Jeffery are also musicians). Her family moved around a lot, as her father was a U.S. Marine. In the mid 1990s, she went to the Okinawa Actors School, where in 1996 she was spotted by the boss of Rising Productions, who asked her to join a new pop-group, Dance & Dream. The female trio released their first single in August of that year.
Two years later, the group disbanded and and Olivia went on alone. She worked with
Jean-Michel Jarre &
Tetsuya Komuro on a single for the FIFA '98 World Cup, Together Now.
