Born in 1945, he is also named Johnny Dandy Rodriguez Jr. Born in 1945, being the son of Johnny La Vaca Rodriguez, also a Latin percussionist. He has played with the Tito Puente (from his 17), Tito Rodriguez, Ray Barretto, formed Tipica 73 (1972-1979), leader of Mambo Legends Orchestra.
