American entrepreneur and manager in the American Folk and Rock & Roll music scene (May 21, 1926 - January 25, 1986). He was most famous as the manager of Bob Dylan between 1962 and 1970. He was married to Sally Grossman, who took over operations of his empire after his death.
He built his own studio [l268838] in 1969, started Bearsville Records in 1970, and began work on the Bearsville Theatre in 1984.
