French mastering engineer formerly at DPMS Mastering - Sound Design (Paris, France), now at Yakuda Audio.

After starting his career with Radio France in 1989, David Perreau entered the NRJ Group in 1994 as a sound engineer. He was responsible for the running of audio processing in all the group's radio stations both in France and abroad (NRJ, Chérie FM, Nostalgie, Rire et Chansons). He participated in the development of numerous setting functions for the whole Unity 2000 processing range and then for the Omnia range.

He then took over the technical management of the audio service in 1998 and pursued numerous technical projects like digitizing the group's studios outside the capital, and also installing an over IP transfer system for broadcasting adverts with virtual remote control for the 140 starts from the head-end.

In the year 2000 his work on sound for the NRJ Group radio stations and his mastering of artists like David Guetta, Kylie Minogue and Depeche Mode was much appreciated by Jean-Michel Jarre who offered to work closely together with him. Since 2000, David Perreau has made the stereo recordings of all Jean-Michel Jarre's albums and has participated in the development of a 5.1 dedicated processing unit.

The recording of Jean-Michel Jarre's concert in China at the Forbidden City was a success and David Perreau was awarded the THX Ultra 2 award by George Lucas.

In 2008 he became technical director for GOOM Radio, an over IP internet platform, and masterminded the overall creation of the technical platforms in Paris and New York.

In 2010, he founded [l698278] specializes in audio processing for radio and television. Soon after, Jean-Michel Jarre implies a long project remastering of his previous work, beginning with the ancient rare titles grouped on the compilation Rarities . Follow most of his albums are sold again on vinyl and CD media between 2011 and 2015.
