Austrian stage actress, voice actress and reciter, born Jan. 1939, died Jan. 22nd 2022 in Glinde near Hamburg, Germany.
Attended drama school in Linz, Austria, at the age of 18. First professional engagement in Bregenz, Austria, in 1959.
Then moved to Aachen, Germany, to work as a freelance actress, followed by a period mostly engaged with travelling theaters.
After an annual interlude at the Neue Theater in Hannover, Germany, she became a long-term employee at the Hildesheimer Stadttheater.
She quit theatrical acting in 2001. She was married with actor Konrad Krauß, but they divorced later.

Elke Reissert claimed fame in Germany especially for her voice actress performances in a string of child audio plays for the Europa label during the 1980s, including early episodes of series like Tkkg and Gruselserie.
Later she appeared only sporadically in audio plays, with her last performances in 2020 and 2021 in Europa's current main features Die drei ???, TKKG, Hanni und Nanni and Gruselserie (2).
