David Nathan was born 16 March 1971 in East Berlin, GDR as the son of dubbing artist
Michael Pan. After years of working in the DEFA dubbing studios and lending his voice to child actors, he left the GDR before the fall of the Wall. Due to his previous experience, the dubbing studios of the Federal Republic welcomed him with open arms. Today, David Nathan is one of the best-known voices with an extensive repertoire, mainly as the German voice of
Johnny Depp. He has been dubbing the audio book versions for
Stephen King's novels for over ten years. In addition, David Nathan dubbed the late Paul Walker, most notably as leader Brian O'Connor in the Fast & Furious series.
