Swedish singer and frontman in the rock band The Hives, born May 29, 1978 in Västanfors in Fagersta municipality.

He grew up in Fagersta. The band has made an international career and is especially successful in the United States. Almqvist's older brother Nicholaus Arson is the guitarist in the band and his real name is Niklas Almqvist.

He did a cover of Operation Ivy's song Freeze Up on Moneybrothers' album Pengabrorsan.

Almqvist was the host of P3 Guld 2007. He also made his debut as a summer talker in Swedish Radio's Summer on 17 August the same year. He has also appeared on N.E.R.D's album Seeing Sounds. There he sang the chorus in the song Time for Some Action and has with The Hives recorded the song A Christmas Duel together with the American singer Cyndi Lauper.

Pelle Almqvist, together with Kodjo Akolor and Little Jinder, led the 2016 edition of Musikhjälpen.
