Tenor saxophone and clarinet player. Formed the Buddy Pressner Orchestra, which gave performances for almost 50 years.
Also a mastering and cutting engineer, owner-operator of Bud Pressner Music & Recording Service and in-house label Staff Records, 718 Washington Street, Gary, IN, USA (later relocated to Merrillville).
Considered by some to be among the fathers of Chicago house music due to his mastering work at [l267] for such legendary artists as
Frankie Knuckles and
Mr. Fingers.
