Canadian acoustic folk-rocker, singer/songwriter & guitar player, born in Toronto in 1962. Formed L'Etranger with
Chuck Angus in 1980. The band broke up six years later and Cash became a solo act, signing with Island records in 1988, and MCA in 1993. Founded the short-lived band
Ursula in the mid-1990s, and then worked with his brother
Peter Cash as
The Cash Brothers. Shortly after came the one-off
Bird project, before returning to his solo career.
Like his former bandmate
Chuck Angus, Cash entered federal politics, serving as Member of Parliament for the Toronto-area riding of Davenport from 2011 to 2015.
