Jaceguay Monteiro Lins (Canhotinho, 1947 - August 17, 2004) was a composer, conductor, musician, writer, poet and Brazilian beekeeper.
In the late 1960s and during the 1970s he lived in Rio de Janeiro, where he was professor in the School of Music Villa-Lobos. He composed soundtracks for domestic films.
Moved to the Espírito Santo’s state in the early 1980s where he contributed to the local culture in various areas, he conducted the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Espírito Santo and was a key to the revitalization and dissemination of capixaba’s Congo. It would have been the creator of expression rockongo, referring to the bonding between the rock and the congo.
