Carlos David was born in the municipality of Villa Las Marta, Sánchez Ramírez Province, D.R. When he was 3 years old, he started singing songs and when he was 10 he wrote his first poems. In 1980, Carlos David began studies of dramatic art in the capital city, Santo Domingo. He became part of the choir of the National Folkloric Ballet, under the direction of the teacher Fradique Lizardo, and completed a baccalaureate in physical sciences and mathematics 1983. In his adolescence, he became part of of the Bonny Cepeda Orchestra as a singer and composer, popularizing songs like Lo Que Más Me Gusta De Ti, El Perico, and other themes of his authorship. In 1985 he became part of the Dioni Fernández Orchestra leading to success the songs Cal y Arena and Oye Muchacha.

In 1986, he joined the Liberación Orchestra where he popularized songs such as Dame Tu Querer, Cobardía, Pagará, Yo Te Amo, and Eterna Melodía, among others. In 1987, he formed his orchestra and had the successes: Solo Importas Tú, Esa Mujer, Pa Que Le Coja Con Otra Cosa,Yo No Se Que Me Diste De Beber, La Lagrimita, among others. In 1990, he serves as co-producer of the music together with Bonny Cepeda from the Punto G project in Puerto Rico. In 1993, he established a firm in Puerto Rico with Combo/Rico Records, and recorded the songs A Mi Nada Me Cae, and Caras Nuevas. In 1995, he produced the the follwowing songs for the artist Gisselle Ortiz: Esa No Es Mejor Que Yo, Pesadilla, Perfume De Mujer En Tu Camisa, Castigo De Mi Soledad, and Círculo Vicioso, among others, for SONY-BMG. In 1995, he produces the following songs for Bonny Cepeda: Mangue de Amor , Yo Bailo Así, Atiéndela, Ay Mami, Echen Pa' Ca Las Mujeres Que Quieran Bailar, Seré Discreto, Agua Con Sal, In 1996, he produced the album Mi Verdadero Yo for NEOS Productions. In 1997, he recorded the merengue album Carlos David for Sony Music. The Bachata Project Carlos David En Otro Son in 1998 for Azucar Music Publishing. Carlos David continued to perform playing along with his orchestra, although jingles, musical productions and advertising work for others took him a little away from the stage. In 2006, while still living in Puerto Rico, he released the bolero production En Romances. In 2010, he released the production Mundial on all platforms.

2011 at present are marked by trips and artist presentations ... With a beautiful and refined voice, charisma, talent, discipline, feeling and humility CARLOS DAVID manages to connect with everyone!
