A Finnish Euro-dance act. Formed in 1994 with members Päivi Lepistö (vocals), Jukka Tanttari (keyboards, guitar) and Timo Lyövä (keyboards). They released the debut album Romeo ja Julia in May 1995, and reached number one on the Finnish albums chart and sold double platinum. Band broke up after their 4th album The 4th Dimension failed to make an impact, selling around 1000 copies.
After seven years Movetron made a comeback with the single ''Ei kenenkään maa''. They also participated in the Finnish selection of Eurovision Song Contest with the song Cupido and made it into the final, but did not win. Best of collection Irtokarkkeja - Makeimmat hitit was a commercial success, peaking number four on the Finnish albums chart and got certified gold. The 5th album Ei kenenkään maa was released in the fall of 2008, selling around 3000 copies, being a minor success.
