French vocalist and songwriter Mélissa Fontaine is mainly known for her own band Chasing Violets in which share vocals duties with her sister Sarah Fontaine. She also collaborated in several recordings from the international project AOR mainly because the band producer Frédéric Slama is the main man behind the songs of both projects.
The Fontaine sisters started singing in their French language until they meet Frédéric Slama in a Toto concert backstage back to 2006, then later based in their common taste and influences for legends artists like Journey, Kansas, Foreigner and Toto, they teamed to create Chasing Violets
