The Mobeus

The Mobeus were a 1990's electronic duo that, in their own words, played “hard trance with melodic lines.” The name 'The Mobeus' is a tribute to a Star Trek line sampled by Orbital: “There is this theory of the Moebius… A twist in the fabric of space where time becomes a loop from which there is no escape.” The Mobeus were also an active live act during the UK’s trance heyday, performing at venues like Bagleys for Return to the Source, The Hacienda and The Phoenix Club in Manchester, Cabbage in Leeds (on its debut night), Kundalini in Leeds, Alien Resonance in Liverpool, THC in Preston, and The Rocket Club in London. Lyrically and thematically, the duo drew inspiration from science fiction, cyberculture, rave idealism, and the surreal experiences of the psychedelic underground.
