Scottish musician and writer, born in Glasgow in 1972 and based in Edinburgh since 1995. He has been recording improvised and experimental music since 1990. His work involves acoustic and electronic sound sources, as well as field recordings. Much of his work has focused on free improvisation.

With Richard Youngs, he created the Radios series of albums centred around the notion of chiasmus, and he has released music with others including Caroline McKenzie, Andrew Paine and Matthew Shaw.
