As a son of an evangelical minister/singer/songwriter, he had a strong attraction to music at an early age. After studying classical music, piano, and voice while in school, he moved to Nashville, TN, where he was a top session keyboard musician, arranger, and composer for twelve years. Later he moved to Los Angeles, CA, where he worked for five years. By 2006, he felt a calling, moving to St. Paul, to begin studies for the priesthood. Ordained to the diaconate in 2014, to the priesthood in 2015, and then began serving as an Associate in 2017.
