Andrea Malvano





Associate professor of musicology and history of music in the University of Turin (Department STUDIUM). He graduated in Letters at the University of Turin and in Piano at the Conservatory of Genoa. He holds a master's degree in musicology (DEA) at the University «Lumière» in Lyon. In 2007 he obtained the Philosophical Doctorate in «History and critique of culture and musical heritage» at the universities of Turin and Milan. He has published monographs about Debussy (Edt, 2009), Schumann (Edt, 2003) and the Rai Music Archive (Rai Eri, 2015). He is author of articles published by international journals («Cahiers Debussy», «Revue musicale OICRM», «Music Reference Service Quarterly», «Music Docta», «Studi Musicali», «Studi Verdiani» etc.). He is journalist of «La Stampa» and artistic director of De Sono Association. He taught History and Aesthetics of Music at the Conservatory «G. Verdi» of Turin.
