Brian Hyland (also co-written by Vance & charted to #8 in the U.K.) followed by Calcutta in 1960 by Lawrence Welk & His Orchestra (co-written by Vance again, along with Heino Gaze & Hans Bradtke). His last #1he wrote with his wife, Johnny Angel, sung by Shelley Fabares--the song hit #1 in 1962. In the U.K. Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini by Bombalurina hit #1 in 1990.
