Marc-Dieter Einstmann is chairman and leading engineer at Einstmann Mastering in Hamburg and New York.

He started mastering in 1997 in Boston and founded Sonic Silver Mastering, which then was relocated to New York City. In between 2002 and 2005 he worked at Sterling Sound.
He also plays drums, trumpet and percussion.

He studied music at Keele University in Germany (1988-93) and Berklee College of Music (1994-95)
