South African keyboardist/composer/producer Gabi le Roux grew up as the son of a pastor, learning piano and guitar. After playing keyboards in numerous bands touring the hotel circuit he turned to producing, starting with a mbaqanga release by Themba Ngwenya. He eventually earned accolades and awards for
Mandoza's Nkalakatha, the country's biggest crossover hit in history. Other production work includes tracks for artists like
Ringo Madlingozi, Brenda Fassie, Yvonne Chaka Chaka, Lebo Mathosa, Danny K, HHP, Busi Mhlongo, Mapaputsi and Brown Dash. He’s also scored platinum sales in the Afrikaans and rock market.
